Stat. tit. 56, § 56-26.10","heading":"Direct relief","body":"(A) The Oklahoma Department of Institutions, Social and\n\nRehabilative Services is authorized to maintain a general relief\n\nfund account for direct relief purposes, and monies allocated to\n\nsaid fund shall be made, upon order of the Oklahoma Department of\n\nInstitutions, Social and Rehabilitative Services, direct to the\n\nState Budget Director; the State Treasurer shall thereupon issue his\n\nwarrant to credit said funds to the General Relief Account, as\n\nprovided herein.\n\n(B) Payments made to eligible clients for direct relief shall be\n\ndisbursed to said clients from or through the state office of the\n\nOklahoma Department of Institutions, Social and Rehabilitative\n\nServices.\n\n(C) No grant made to a client under the provisions of this act\n\nshall be subject to assignment for discount, garnishment, or other\n\nmeans of final process.\n\n(D) Where a voucher is issued by the Oklahoma Department of\n\nInstitutions, Social and Rehabilative Services a copy of the voucher\n\nregister shall be furnished the State Treasurer for the purpose of\n\npaying out any money subject to disbursement under direction of the\n\nOklahoma Department of Institutions, Social and Rehabilitative\n\nService; any right to payment on such voucher, or to recover\n\nthereon, shall cease after six (6) months from the date of\n\nregistration, which registration shall then be cancelled, and any\n\nobligation represented thereby against the funds, or otherwise,\n\nshall then expire.","path":["OK Code","Title 56"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os56.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"74474a7ffea26b0d93d59f2618f36776501f3291326ea5499bda551f61d96ab1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-259","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-26.13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
