Stat. tit. 56, § 56-26.18","heading":"Application for relief - Allowance of false claims -","body":"Penalty.\n\nEvery applicant for emergency relief or general assistance shall\n\nmake a written application, containing a written certification,\n\nunder penalty of perjury, alleging that all facts set out in such\n\napplication are true and correct. And said application shall be\n\nforthwith acted upon, with dispatch and without delay.\n\nAny person, whose duty it is to pass upon the eligibility of\n\npersons to participate in any benefits provided in this act, who\n\nshall knowingly, willfully or intentionally allow, or cause to be\n\nallowed, any claim to any person known to be ineligible for such\n\nrelief, or, who aids, or abets, or persuades any person to sign an\n\napplication to obtain by means of a willfully false statement or\n\nrepresentation or other fraudulent device, assistance to which an\n\napplicant is not entitled or assistance greater than that to which\n\nan applicant is justly entitled shall be guilty of a Class D1 felony\n\noffense, and upon conviction thereof shall be imprisoned as provided\n\nfor in subsections B through F of Section 20N of Title 21 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, or be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars\n\n($100.00) or more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or be both\n\nso fined and imprisoned in the discretion of the court.","path":["OK Code","Title 56"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os56.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"9d8313430792eee0d4d8edcfe3627ea8ec5ad10a2bf2dec9e5a95e2bbd721eea","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-26.17","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-26.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
