Stat. tit. 56, § 56-27.3","heading":"Work assignments - Duration of work - Earnings","body":"When the state or federal government or any agencies thereof, a\n\ncounty, city or municipal corporation has undertaken, or is about to\n\nundertake, a program which is for the benefit of the general public\n\nor any segment thereof, said state agency, county, city or municipal\n\ncorporation may enter into an agreement with the Department of\n\nPublic Welfare wherein and whereby the Department of Public Welfare\n\nmay assign unemployed employable persons who have attained the age\n\nof sixteen (16) and who are eligible for assistance to do and\n\nperform work and labor on behalf of said state, or federal\n\ngovernment, county, city or municipal corporation and such person\n\nshall perform, if available, work and labor for such state, or\n\nfederal government, county, city or municipal corporation for the\n\nlength of time necessary to earn at the legal minimum wage or the\n\ngoing hourly rate prevailing in the area for labor of like kind,\n\nwhichever is higher, an amount of money equal to the amount of\n\nassistance granted to such person and the assistance unit of which\n\nhe or his dependents is a part.","path":["OK Code","Title 56"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os56.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b08cdb95e41bcf7d9636c8e4cda718c5778f863ca2929c662081fe978c50440b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-27.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-56-56-27.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
