Stat. tit. 56, § 56-64","heading":"Exemptions from act - Duties of hospitals and clinics -","body":"Reports and documentation.\n\nA. The Oklahoma Indigent Health Care Act shall not apply to\n\nstate or federally operated medical institutions except the State of\n\nOklahoma Medical Center and the George Nigh Rehabilitation Institute\n\nof the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs.\n\nHospitals and clinics participating in the Oklahoma Indigent\n\nHealth Care Act shall have the following responsibilities:\n\n1. Implement the screening criteria and procedures and comply\n\nwith such other eligibility criteria for participation in the\n\nOklahoma Indigent Health Care Act established pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of Section 63 of this title.\n\n2. In addition to or as part of other reports required by law\n\nor by the rules and regulations of the State Board of Health,\n\nannually submit to the State Department of Health reports and data\n\ndocumenting:\n\na. the total amount of health care costs incurred by the\n\nhospital or clinic for medical indigents,\n\nb. total patient charges by the hospital or clinic for\n\nmedical indigents,\n\nc. the patient mix including, but not limited to, the\n\nnumber of indigent persons served as measured by\n\nhospital patient days or clinic encounters as\n\nappropriate, and\n\nd. such other information and in such form as may be\n\nrequired by the State Department of Health pursuant to\n\nthe Oklahoma Indigent Health Care Act.\n\nSuch documentation shall indicate that the person served or the\n\nparty responsible for such person meets the criteria established by\n\nthe Oklahoma Indigent Health Care Act. Such documentation shall\n\nalso be specific as to the county of residence of the person served.\n\nThese records shall be available to the public upon request.\n\nB. Clinics shall submit to the Department of Human Services\n\nnecessary information to certify eligible clinic status pursuant to\n\nSection 58 of this title.\n\nC. The State Department of Health shall forward copies of such\n\ndocumentation to the Department of Human Services as necessary for\n\nuse by the Department in determining the eligibility of a hospital\n\nor a clinic for reimbursement pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Indigent Health Care Act. The State Department of Health\n\nand the Department of Human Services shall cooperate for the purpose\n\nof coordinating the reports and documentation required by the\n\nOklahoma Indigent Health Care Act, and ensuring the timely\n\ntransmission of said reports and documentation between, said\n\nagencies.\n\nD.
