The Department of Corrections may design and install high-\n\nvoltage electrified security fence systems at all existing and\n\nproposed medium and maximum security prisons. At the time of\n\ninstallation there shall be posted universal danger signs on all\n\nsides of the system clearly visible to inmates and the public and\n\nalso displaying in English the warning \"Deadly Voltage”. The\n\ninstallation of these electric fence systems shall be between\n\ndouble, twelve-foot high, security perimeter fences, with the\n\nexception of those locations where a building or wall constitutes a\n\npart of the security perimeter.\n\nB. A provider of electricity for the electric fence system\n\nauthorized by this section or the providers of parts for\n\nconstruction of the system shall not be liable for any accident,\n\ninjury or death which may occur as a result of the construction or\n\noperation of the system, unless the accident, injury or death was\n\ncaused by the gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct of\n\nthe provider or the provider’s employee or agent.","path":["OK Code","Title 57"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os57.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d7dbe17c0ad0abe6983043bb5bea106d6a2d4e7d71deeb5cdaa4b695f2afa6a3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-214","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-215"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
