From and after the effective date of this act, no member of\n\nthe Pardon and Parole Board and/or their law firm or law partners or\n\nassociate may represent in a legal capacity any inmate incarcerated\n\nin any state penal institution. If a member of the Pardon and\n\nParole Board, or his law partners or associate or any member of his\n\nlaw firm undertakes the representation of an inmate in violation of\n\nthis prohibition the member of the Board shall forfeit his office.\n\nIn any case in which an inmate requesting a pardon or parole was\n\nrepresented in a legal capacity by any member of the Pardon and\n\nParole Board and/or their law firm or law partners or associate\n\nprior to imposition of a prison term, the Board member who\n\nrepresented such inmate shall be disqualified from voting on such\n\ninmate's request for a pardon or parole.\n\nB. A member of the Pardon and Parole Board shall uphold and\n\npromote the independence, impartiality, fairness, and integrity of\n\nthe Board, and should avoid impropriety or the appearance of\n\nimpropriety.\n\nC. If any Pardon and Parole Board member determines\n\ncircumstances would cause a reasonable person with knowledge of all\n\nthe relevant facts to question his or her impartiality in a specific\n\nmatter, or creates the appearance of impropriety, the Pardon and\n\nParole Board member shall disclose any potential conflict of\n\ninterest and shall withdraw from participation in the matter.","path":["OK Code","Title 57"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os57.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6b6189ef11775152a85e2e37f4affaa9af988b0cbab0342686eb4786e8df80cd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-332.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-332.16"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
