Stat. tit. 57, § 57-509.1","heading":"Oklahoma Children's Center at Taft - Transfer to","body":"Department of Corrections.\n\nA. It is the finding of the Legislature that certain property\n\ncurrently under the control of the Department of Human Services\n\ncould be better utilized if transferred to the Department of\n\nCorrections.\n\nB. The Oklahoma Children's Center and the property related\n\nthereto, located at Taft, Oklahoma, is hereby transferred from the\n\nDepartment of Human Services to the Department of Corrections.\n\nC. All official records maintained by the Oklahoma Children's\n\nCenter while said institution was under the supervision, management,\n\noperation, and control of the Department of Human Services shall be\n\ntransferred to the Department of Human Services.\n\nD. The Department of Corrections shall establish a women's\n\ncorrectional institution on the property transferred pursuant to\n\nsubsection B of this section.\n\nE. The Department of Corrections and the Oklahoma Department of\n\nCareer and Technology Education shall establish inmate training\n\nprograms for women on the property transferred pursuant to\n\nsubsection B of this section.\n\nF. The Department of Corrections and Oklahoma Department of\n\nCareer and Technology Education shall give first priority on\n\nemployment at the Jess Dunn Correctional Center to those present\n\nemployees of the Department of Human Services now working at the\n\nOklahoma Children's Center. Written justification for hiring any\n\nemployees necessary to staff positions needed for this transition,\n\nother than present employees of the Department of Human Services,\n\nmust be filed with the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of\n\nRepresentatives and the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State\n\nSenate for a period of one (1) year.\n\nG. All agreements involving the town of Taft entered into by\n\nthe Department of Human Services relative to water or sewer\n\nfacilities or otherwise shall be assumed by the Department of\n\nCorrections.\n\nH.
