Stat. tit. 57, § 57-513.3v2","heading":"Assistance to inmates for obtaining state-issued","body":"identification cards and employment-related documents.\n\nA. When any inmate shall be discharged from an institution of\n\nthe Department of Corrections and the intended residence designated\n\nby the inmate is within this state, the Department of Corrections\n\nshall provide the inmate with relevant documentation to assist the\n\ninmate in obtaining post-release employment and shall coordinate\n\nwith Service Oklahoma to provide a REAL ID Noncompliant\n\nIdentification Card if the inmate does not have a current state-\n\nissued identification card or driver license.\n\nB. 1. Within nine (9) months prior to the release of an inmate\n\nfrom custody, the Department of Corrections shall identify whether\n\nthe inmate has a current form of state identification and begin the\n\nprocess of gathering the documentation required for the issuance of\n\na REAL ID Noncompliant Identification Card pursuant to Section 6-\n\n105.3 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes. If an inmate has any\n\nvalid form of a state-issued identification card or driver license,\n\nthe inmate may avail himself or herself of the provisions of this\n\nsection.\n\n2. The Department of Corrections may utilize any funds\n\navailable to cover the costs associated with the implementation and\n\nadministration of this section and the purchase of REAL ID\n\nNoncompliant Identification Cards, including, but not limited to,\n\ninmate trust funds, existing funds of the Department of Corrections,\n\nand donations.\n\n3. The provisions of this section shall apply only to inmates\n\nwho may receive a state-issued identification card pursuant to\n\nSection 1550.42 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nC. For purposes of assisting an inmate in obtaining post-\n\nrelease employment, the Department of Corrections shall provide the\n\ninmate with the following documentation:\n\n1. A copy of the vocational training record of the inmate, if\n\napplicable;\n\n2. A copy of the work record of the inmate, if applicable;\n\n3. A certified copy of the birth certificate of the inmate, if\n\nobtainable;\n\n4. A Social Security card or a replacement Social Security card\n\nof the inmate, if obtainable;\n\n5. A resume that includes any trade learned by the inmate and\n\nthe proficiency at that trade by the inmate; and\n\n6. Documentation that the inmate has completed a practice job\n\ninterview.\n\nIn addition, the Department shall notify the inmate if he or she\n\nis eligible to apply for a license from a state entity charged with\n\noversight of an occupational license or certification.\n\nD. The following categories of inmates are not required to\n\ncomplete resumes or practice job interviews prior to their release\n\nfrom incarceration:\n\n1. Inmates sixty-five (65) years of age or older;\n\n2. Inmates releasing to medical parole or discharging from a\n\nprison infirmary setting;\n\n3. Inmates releasing from a Department of Corrections Mental\n\nHealth Unit;\n\n4. Inmates releasing to the custody of another jurisdiction on\n\na warrant or detainer;\n\n5. Inmates returning to community supervision from an\n\nintermediate revocation facility; and\n\n6. Inmates that the Department determines would be physically\n\nor mentally unable to return to the workforce upon release from\n\nincarceration.\n\nE.
