Whenever employees of the Department of Corrections are\n\ninjured in the line of duty and have used all their sick leave, the\n\nDirector of the Department of Corrections shall determine if the\n\ninjured employee was actually injured in the line of duty and\n\nwhether the injured employee should be granted additional sick leave\n\nbecause of the injury. The Director may advance the injured\n\nemployee not more than an additional forty-five (45) days' sick\n\nleave when necessary. Such sick leave advanced shall be accumulated\n\nback to the Department from the employee at the rate of five (5)\n\ndays per year until the advanced number of days are repaid.\n\nB.
