Stat. tit. 57, § 57-530.2","heading":"Designating persons to receive personal property and","body":"remains of deceased inmate.\n\nWithin three (3) days after entry into the custody of the\n\nDepartment of Corrections, every inmate shall complete a notarized\n\nform provided by the Department of Corrections designating the name\n\nand address of any person who is to receive the personal property of\n\nthe inmate held by any state correctional facility if the inmate\n\ndies. Each inmate shall have the opportunity to change the\n\ndesignation if he or she desires. In the event of the death of an\n\ninmate, the Department of Corrections shall deliver all money and\n\npersonal property found within any state correctional facility\n\nbelonging to the inmate to any person designated pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of this section.
