Any inmate employed by any prison industry shall be subject\n\nto all rules established for his employment by the State Board of\n\nCorrections and to all statutes governing the operation of state\n\nprison industries as well as by all laws generally governing\n\nemployment, wages and working conditions except as provided for\n\nherein.\n\nB. Inmates employed by prison industries are not state\n\nemployees, and they are specifically forbidden from organizing into\n\nunions or other associations in connection with their employment or\n\nfrom engaging in any strike, work stoppage, slowdown or collective\n\nbargaining process. This prohibition applies to any inmates forming\n\na union local or similar organization at any prison industry but it\n\nshall not prohibit any inmate from otherwise achieving or retaining\n\nstatus as a union member.\n\nC. The claims of the state against an inmate to cover the costs\n\nof incarceration of an inmate shall be prior to the unsecured claims\n\nof any creditor.\n\nD. The employment of any inmate by any prison industry is a\n\nprivilege granted by the state which may be revoked by the Director\n\nof the Department of Corrections.\n\nE.
