Stat. tit. 57, § 57-561.3","heading":"Private prison operators to furnish medical care","body":"Every contract entered into on and after July 1, 2000, between\n\nthe Department of Corrections and a private prison operator which\n\nprovides for the housing of inmates under the custody or supervision\n\nof the Department of Corrections, shall require that the private\n\nprison operator furnish medical care for such inmates as part of the\n\ncontract price.
