Stat. tit. 57, § 57-596","heading":"Immunity from civil liability","body":"Public officials, public employees, and public agencies are\n\nimmune from civil liability for good faith conduct under any\n\nprovision of the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Offenders Registration\n\nAct.\n\n1. Nothing in the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Offenders\n\nRegistration Act shall be deemed to impose any liability upon or to\n\ngive rise to a cause of action against any public official, public\n\nemployee, or public agency for failing to release information in\n\naccordance with the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Offenders Registration\n\nAct.\n\n2. Persons collecting samples for DNA testing shall be immune\n\nfrom civil liabilities arising from the collection of blood and\n\nsaliva samples.\n\n3.
