Stat. tit. 57, § 57-69","heading":"Meals for county jail and correctional facilities","body":"personnel.\n\nIn order to protect the health and safety of certain law\n\nenforcement personnel and the citizens of this state, and to provide\n\nthe state with the benefit of proper security within the county\n\njails and correctional facilities of this state, all jailers, jail\n\ndirectors, keepers of the jail, sheriffs, deputies, correctional\n\nemployees, or any other law enforcement personnel working within the\n\ncounty jail or correctional facility may, upon the approval of the\n\nsheriff or facility head, be served the same meals served to the\n\nprisoners within such county jail or correctional facility. There\n\nshall be no cost to the law enforcement personnel for such meals.\n\nThe county sheriff or facility head shall pay for these meals out of\n\nthe funds appropriated to the county sheriffs or the State\n\nDepartment of Corrections. The county and all of its officers and\n\nagents are hereby prohibited from recouping the cost of such meals\n\neither directly or indirectly or otherwise considering such costs or\n\ntheir impact when establishing the charges to municipalities for\n\nhousing municipal prisoners in the county jail; provided, a\n\nmunicipality may negotiate the manner of establishing such charges.","path":["OK Code","Title 57"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os57.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ded547deaf53cbb22a4f0875c71e7d2d5062b5bbc7db409e675ca50e9b1e6832","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-68","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
