Stat. tit. 57, § 57-95","heading":"Delivery of sentenced person by sheriff or detention center","body":"- Receipts.\n\nA. Any person convicted of an offense against the laws of this\n\nstate and sentenced to imprisonment that is not to be served in a\n\ncounty jail shall be transported by the sheriff of the county where\n\nthe person is sentenced, or transported by a designated\n\nrepresentative of the sheriff, to the Department of Corrections at\n\nthe Lexington Assessment and Reception Center or other location\n\ndesignated by the Director of the Department of Corrections.\n\nB. Any person convicted of an offense against the laws of this\n\nstate and sentenced to imprisonment that is not to be served in a\n\ncounty jail and who is not housed in a county jail shall be\n\ntransported by the detention center, or transported by a designated\n\nrepresentative of the detention center, to the Department of\n\nCorrections at the Lexington Assessment and Reception Center or\n\nother location designated by the Director of the Department of\n\nCorrections.\n\nC. The sheriff shall deliver the person to the Department at\n\nsuch center together with:\n\n1. A certified copy of the judgment and sentence from the court\n\nordering such imprisonment, unless the judgment and sentence\n\npreviously has been sent electronically by an authorized clerk of\n\nthe court;\n\n2. A certificate setting forth the number of days served in the\n\ncounty jail after the pronouncement of judgment and rendering of\n\nsentence for the offenses committed;\n\n3. A copy of any medical, dental, or mental health records of\n\nthe defendant for conditions reviewed or treated while in the\n\ncustody of the sheriff;\n\n4. Any medication or medical or dental device prescribed for\n\nthe defendant while in the custody of the sheriff or for a\n\npreexisting condition; and\n\n5. A copy of the presentence investigation report, if a report\n\nwas prepared.\n\nD. The Department of Corrections shall give the sheriff a\n\nreceipt for each person received into the custody of the Department.\n\nThe receipt shall be filed by the sheriff in the office of the clerk\n\nof the court where the sentence was made.\n\nE. The Department of Corrections shall reimburse the\n\ntransporting agency as follows:\n\n1. Mileage from the county sheriff's office to the appropriate\n\nreception center and back to the county sheriff's office; and\n\n2. Hourly wage reimbursement for the transporting officer for\n\nthe hours of transport travel and time spent at the reception center\n\nbased on the transporting officer's normal hourly wage.\n\nReimbursement shall not exceed Thirty Dollars ($30.00) an hour per\n\nofficer. Documentation of the officer's hourly wage shall accompany\n\nall reimbursement requests to the Department.\n\nThe Department of Corrections shall have the authority to\n\npromulgate rules and forms for the reimbursement procedures provided\n\nin this section.\n\nThe Department of Corrections shall submit a quarterly report to\n\nthe Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee and Chair of the\n\nHouse of Representatives Appropriations and Budget Committee.","path":["OK Code","Title 57"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os57.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"23593342ed4ad0ded9a2eb338ae8795b2eee2205be9fc7a69ebbaafd953767c6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-9","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-57-57-96"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
