Stat. tit. 58, § 58-1202","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Uniform Transfers to Minors Act:\n\n1. \"Adult\" means an individual who has attained the age of\n\ntwenty-one (21) years.\n\n2. \"Benefit plan\" means an employer's plan for the benefit of\n\nan employee or partner.\n\n3. \"Broker\" means a person lawfully engaged in the business of\n\neffecting transactions in securities or commodities for the person's\n\nown account or for the account of others.\n\n4. \"Guardian\" means a person appointed or qualified by a court\n\nto act as guardian of the estate or of the person and the estate.\n\n5. \"Court\" means the district court of this state in the county\n\nwhere the minor resides, or, if the minor is not a resident of this\n\nstate, the district court of this state in the county where the\n\ncustodian resides or has his principal place of business.\n\n6. \"Custodial property\" means:\n\na. any interest in property transferred to a custodian\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Uniform\n\nTransfers to Minors Act, and\n\nb. the income from and proceeds of that interest in\n\nproperty.\n\n7. \"Custodian\" means a person so designated pursuant to Section\n\n1210 of this title or a successor or substitute custodian designated\n\npursuant to Section 1219 of this title.\n\n8. \"Financial institution\" means a bank, trust company, savings\n\ninstitution, or credit union, chartered and supervised according to\n\nstate or federal law.\n\n9. \"Legal representative\" means an individual's personal\n\nrepresentative, conservator, or guardian.\n\n10. \"Member of the minor's family\" means the minor's parent,\n\nstepparent, spouse, grandparent, brother, sister, uncle, or aunt,\n\nwhether of the whole or half blood or by adoption.\n\n11. \"Minor\" means an individual who has not attained the age of\n\ntwenty-one (21) years.\n\n12. \"Person\" means an individual, corporation, organization, or\n\nother legal entity.\n\n13. \"Personal representative\" means an executor, administrator,\n\nsuccessor personal representative, or special administrator of a\n\ndecedent's estate, or a person legally authorized to perform\n\nsubstantially the same functions.\n\n14. \"State\" includes any state of the United States, the\n\nDistrict of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and any\n\nterritory or possession subject to the legislative authority of the\n\nUnited States.\n\n15. \"Transfer\" means a transaction that creates custodial\n\nproperty pursuant to Section 1210 of this title.\n\n16. \"Transferor\" means a person who makes a transfer pursuant\n\nto the provisions of the Oklahoma Uniform Transfers to Minors Act.\n\n17. \"Trust company\" means a financial institution, corporation,\n\nor other legal entity, authorized to exercise general trust powers.","path":["OK Code","Title 58"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os58.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3ad353bea5c27cfdcd8b23c1364332abac56c71fa54e51b464a3e01c8724a7af","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-58-58-1201","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-58-58-1203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
