A person having the right to designate the recipient of\n\nproperty transferable upon the occurrence of a future event may\n\nrevocably nominate a custodian to receive the property for a minor\n\nbeneficiary upon the occurrence of the event by naming the custodian\n\nfollowed in substance by the words: \"as custodian for\n\n________________ (name of minor) under the Oklahoma Uniform\n\nTransfers to Minors Act.\" The nomination may name one or more\n\npersons as substitute custodians to whom the property must be\n\ntransferred, in the order named, if the first nominated custodian\n\ndies before the transfer or is unable, declines, or is ineligible to\n\nserve. The nomination may be made in a will, a trust, a deed, an\n\ninstrument exercising a power of appointment, or in a writing\n\ndesignating a beneficiary of contractual rights which is registered\n\nwith or delivered to the payor, issuer, or other obligor of the\n\ncontractual rights.\n\nB. A custodian nominated pursuant to the provisions of this\n\nsection must be a person to whom a transfer of property of that kind\n\nmay be made according to the provisions of subsection A of Section\n\n10 of this act.\n\nC. The nomination of a custodian pursuant to the provisions of\n\nthis section does not create custodial property until the nominating\n\ninstrument becomes irrevocable or a transfer to the nominated\n\ncustodian is completed pursuant to the provisions of Section 10 of\n\nthis act.
