Any transfer of custodial property as that term is defined\n\nin the Oklahoma Uniform Transfers to Minors Act made before the\n\neffective date of this act is validated although there was no\n\nspecific authority in the Oklahoma Uniform Gifts to Minors Act for\n\nthe coverage of custodial property of that kind or for a transfer\n\nfrom that source at the time the transfer was made.\n\nB. The Oklahoma Uniform Transfers to Minors Act applies to all\n\ntransfers made before the effective date of this act in a manner and\n\nform prescribed in the Oklahoma Uniform Gifts to Minors Act, except\n\ninsofar as the application impairs constitutionally vested rights or\n\nextends the duration of custodianships in existence on the effective\n\ndate of this act.\n\nC. A transfer that purports to be made and which is valid under\n\nthe Uniform Transfers to Minors Act, the Uniform Gifts to Minors\n\nAct, or a substantially similar act, of another state is governed by\n\nthe law of the designated state and may be executed and is\n\nenforceable in this state if at the time of the transfer, the\n\ntransferor, the minor, or the custodian is a resident of the\n\ndesignated state or the custodial property is located in the\n\ndesignated state.\n\nD. With respect to the age of a minor for whom custodial\n\nproperty is held under the Oklahoma Uniform Transfers to Minors Act,\n\nparagraphs 1 and 11 of Section 1202 and paragraph 1 of subsection A\n\nof Section 1221 of this title do not apply to custodial property\n\nheld in a custodianship which terminated because of the minor's\n\nattainment of the age of eighteen (18) years after November 1, 1986\n\nand before September 1, 1993.","path":["OK Code","Title 58"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os58.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"71731b91469b45177e5f2046b832bf55c570bb30fb65b9c44ef2b6869d877eb7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-58-58-1222","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-58-58-1224"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
