Stat. tit. 58, § 58-231","heading":"Resignation and settlement - Revoking letters","body":"Any executor or administrator may, at any time, by writing,\n\nfiled in the district court, resign his appointment, having first\n\nsettled his account and delivered up all the estate to the person\n\nwhom the court shall appoint to receive the same. If, however, by\n\nreason of any delays in such settlement and delivering up of the\n\nestate, or for any other cause, the circumstances of the estate or\n\nthe rights of those interested therein require it, the court may at\n\nany time before the settlement of accounts and delivering up of the\n\nestate is completed, revoke the letters of such executor or\n\nadministrator, and appoint in his stead an administrator, either\n\nspecial or general, in the same manner as directed in relation to\n\noriginal letters of administration.
