Stat. tit. 58, § 58-3027","heading":"Real property","body":"\n\nUnless the power of attorney otherwise provides, language in a\n\npower of attorney granting general authority with respect to real\n\nproperty authorizes the agent to:\n\n1. Demand, buy, lease, receive, accept as a gift or as security\n\nfor an extension of credit or otherwise acquire or reject an\n\ninterest in real property or a right incident to real property;\n\n2. Sell; exchange; convey with or without covenants,\n\nrepresentations or warranties; quitclaim; release; surrender; retain\n\ntitle for security; encumber; partition or consent to partitioning;\n\nsubject to an easement or covenant; subdivide; apply for zoning or\n\nother governmental permits; plat or consent to platting; develop;\n\ngrant an option concerning; lease; sublease; contribute to an entity\n\nin exchange for an interest in that entity; or otherwise grant or\n\ndispose of an interest in real property or a right incident to real\n\nproperty;\n\n3. Pledge or mortgage an interest in real property or right\n\nincident to real property as security to borrow money or pay, renew\n\nor extend the time of payment of a debt of the principal or a debt\n\nguaranteed by the principal;\n\n4. Release, assign, satisfy or enforce by litigation or\n\notherwise a mortgage, deed of trust, conditional sale contract,\n\nencumbrance, lien or other claim to real property which exists or is\n\nasserted;\n\n5. Manage or conserve an interest in real property or a right\n\nincident to real property owned or claimed to be owned by the\n\nprincipal, including:\n\na. insuring against liability or casualty or other loss,\n\nb. obtaining or regaining possession of or protecting the\n\ninterest or right by litigation or otherwise,\n\nc. paying, assessing, compromising or contesting taxes or\n\nassessments or applying for and receiving refunds in\n\nconnection with them, and\n\nd. purchasing supplies, hiring assistance or labor, and\n\nmaking repairs or alterations to the real property;\n\n6. Use, develop, alter, replace, remove, erect or install\n\nstructures or other improvements upon real property in or incident\n\nto which the principal has, or claims to have, an interest or right;\n\n7. Participate in a reorganization with respect to real\n\nproperty or an entity that owns an interest in or right incident to\n\nreal property and receive, and hold, and act with respect to stocks\n\nand bonds or other property received in a plan of reorganization,\n\nincluding:\n\na. selling or otherwise disposing of them,\n\nb. exercising or selling an option, right of conversion,\n\nor similar right with respect to them, and\n\nc. exercising any voting rights in person or by proxy;\n\n8. Change the form of title of an interest in or right incident\n\nto real property; and\n\n9.
