Stat. tit. 58, § 58-3028","heading":"Tangible personal property","body":"Unless the power of attorney otherwise provides, language in a\n\npower of attorney granting general authority with respect to\n\ntangible personal property authorizes the agent to:\n\n1. Demand, buy, receive, accept as a gift or as security for an\n\nextension of credit, or otherwise acquire or reject ownership or\n\npossession of tangible personal property or an interest in tangible\n\npersonal property;\n\n2. Sell; exchange; convey with or without covenants,\n\nrepresentations or warranties; quitclaim; release; surrender; create\n\na security interest in; grant options concerning; lease; sublease;\n\nor otherwise dispose of tangible personal property or an interest in\n\ntangible personal property;\n\n3. Grant a security interest in tangible personal property or\n\nan interest in tangible personal property as security to borrow\n\nmoney or pay, renew or extend the time of payment of a debt of the\n\nprincipal or a debt guaranteed by the principal;\n\n4. Release, assign, satisfy or enforce by litigation or\n\notherwise, a security interest, lien or other claim on behalf of the\n\nprincipal, with respect to tangible personal property or an interest\n\nin tangible personal property;\n\n5. Manage or conserve tangible personal property or an interest\n\nin tangible personal property on behalf of the principal, including:\n\na. insuring against liability or casualty or other loss,\n\nb. obtaining or regaining possession of or protecting the\n\nproperty or interest, by litigation or otherwise,\n\nc. paying, assessing, compromising or contesting taxes or\n\nassessments or applying for and receiving refunds in\n\nconnection with taxes or assessments,\n\nd. moving the property from place to place,\n\ne. storing the property for hire or on a gratuitous\n\nbailment, and\n\nf. using and making repairs, alterations or improvements\n\nto the property; and\n\n6.
