Stat. tit. 58, § 58-714","heading":"Joinder of proceedings relating to different estates","body":"Proceedings for probate of wills of two or more deceased persons\n\nmay be joined and united in one proceeding, and proceedings for\n\nadministration of estates of two or more deceased persons who died\n\nintestate may be joined and united in one proceeding. Proceedings\n\nfor probate of wills of one or more deceased persons and proceedings\n\nfor the administration of estates of one or more deceased persons\n\nwho died intestate may be joined and united in one proceeding.\n\nWhere the estate or estates or some part thereof left by one or more\n\nof such deceased persons, has been or is to be received from another\n\nof such deceased persons, immediately or remotely, either by will or\n\nintestate succession, and no probate or administration proceedings\n\nhave been had or commenced upon the estate of any of such deceased\n\npersons, and/or where two or more deceased persons died seized of\n\nundivided interests in property, real or personal, as tenants in\n\ncommon or otherwise, and no probate or administration proceedings\n\nhave been had or commenced on the estate of either or any of them,\n\nand one or more of the heirs, devisees or legatees of such deceased\n\npersons are the same, the court may grant letters testamentary\n\nand/or letters of administration, as the case may be, upon such\n\nestates in any county where venue would be proper for any of the\n\nestates so joined and they may be administered in one proceeding.\n\nIn all cases herein mentioned the court granting such letters has\n\njurisdiction of each of the proceedings so united. Notice required\n\nto be published by this title including but not limited to notice to\n\ndetermine heirs, notice to creditors, or notice of hearing on\n\npetition for final settlement, shall be published in the county\n\nwhere the action is pending and the county of the residence of each\n\ndecedent if a resident of this state at death.
