Stat. tit. 58, § 58-719.1","heading":"Service of notices on Governor and Attorney General","body":"In all proceedings for the administration of estates of deceased\n\npersons, or for the probate, or interpretation, of wills of deceased\n\npersons, in all courts of this state, wherein it appears from the\n\npetition for admission of a will to probate, or from the petition or\n\nother pleading asking for the interpretation of a last will and\n\ntestament, that the State of Oklahoma is named as a beneficiary in\n\nsuch will, or wherein it appears from the petition for appointment\n\nof administrator, or otherwise, that an intestate left no spouse or\n\nkindred surviving, or that it is not known whether or not the\n\nintestate left a spouse or kindred surviving or that the names and\n\nwhereabouts of the spouse or kindred, if any, of the intestate are\n\nunknown, or wherein it otherwise appears that the State of Oklahoma\n\nis, or may be, entitled to share in the distribution of the estate\n\nof the decedent, any and all notices provided for by statute to be\n\nserved, personally, or by mail, upon persons or parties interested\n\nin the estate shall be served upon the State of Oklahoma by mailing\n\ntrue and correct copies of such notice, by registered mail, postage\n\nprepaid, to the Governor of the State of Oklahoma, and to the\n\nAttorney General of the State of Oklahoma, Capitol Building,\n\nOklahoma City, Oklahoma, and, where the jurisdiction of the court to\n\nenter a judgment, order or decree in such cases depends upon the\n\ngiving of proper notice to all persons or parties interested in an\n\nestate, such jurisdiction shall not vest in any such court, as to\n\nthe State of Oklahoma, unless and until the notice provided by law\n\nhas been given to the State of Oklahoma in the manner prescribed\n\nherein. If the notice provided for herein be given in the manner\n\nprescribed herein, the jurisdiction of the court, as to the State of\n\nOklahoma as a party entitled to share, or possibly entitled to\n\nshare, in the distribution of the estate of the decedent, shall be\n\nthe same as it is as to other persons or parties entitled to share,\n\nor possibly entitled to share, in the distribution of such estate,\n\nwhen properly served with notice required by law.","path":["OK Code","Title 58"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os58.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b26cfc715635e00ebce2d7c42d6d156095db497f889d5b2603eb5e1b8442dc83","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-58-58-718.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-58-58-719.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
