Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1000.29","heading":"State agencies or political subdivisions - Enactment","body":"of codes and rules.\n\nNothing in the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission Act\n\nshall prohibit state agencies or political subdivisions of the state\n\nfrom having full authority to provide for the enactment of codes and\n\nrules in such form as they may determine and prescribe; provided,\n\nthat such code, ordinance, bylaw or rule shall contain higher\n\nstandards and requirements than the codes adopted pursuant to the\n\nOklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission Act, or any rule adopted\n\nor prescribed by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission\n\nthrough authority of Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission Act,\n\nnor shall it prevent or take away from any state agencies or\n\npolitical subdivisions of the state the authority to amend such\n\nadopted codes to make changes necessary to accommodate local\n\nconditions; provided, such changes shall be approved by the\n\nCommission.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f979774e39425b2d24b2c538a0dbdc0705ecd58c0fd36d97daacfbb16eea0c41","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1000.28","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1000.2v1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
