The Construction Industries Board is hereby re-created to\n\ncontinue until July 1, 2017, in accordance with the provisions of\n\nthe Oklahoma Sunset Law. Beginning January 1, 2002, the Board shall\n\nregulate the plumbing, electrical and mechanical trades, and\n\nbuilding and construction inspectors through the powers and duties\n\nset forth in the Construction Industries Board Act and in the\n\nrespective licensing acts for such trades.\n\nB. 1. Beginning July 1, 2008, the Board shall be composed of\n\nseven (7) members appointed by the Governor with the advice and\n\nconsent of the Senate, as follows:\n\na. two members shall have at least ten (10) years'\n\nexperience in the plumbing trade, of which one shall\n\nbe a plumbing contractor and one shall be a journeyman\n\nplumber,\n\nb. two members shall have at least ten (10) years'\n\nexperience in the electrical trade, of which one shall\n\nbe an electrical contractor and one shall be a\n\njourneyman electrician,\n\nc. two members shall have at least ten (10) years'\n\nexperience in the mechanical trade, of which one shall\n\nbe a mechanical contractor and one shall be a\n\nmechanical journeyman, and\n\nd. one member shall have at least ten (10) years'\n\nexperience as a building and construction inspector\n\nand shall be from a list recommended by a statewide\n\norganization of municipal governments.\n\n2. Members shall be appointed for terms of four (4) years;\n\nprovided, of those members initially appointed to the Board, five\n\nmembers shall be appointed for two-year terms, beginning September\n\n1, 2001, and four members shall be appointed for four-year terms,\n\nbeginning September 1, 2001, as designated by the Governor. Members\n\nshall continue in office until a successor is appointed by the\n\nGovernor. The Governor shall fill all vacancies and unexpired terms\n\nin the same manner as the original appointment of the member whose\n\nposition is to be filled.
