The Construction Industries Board is hereby authorized,\n\nempowered, and directed to make, prescribe, enforce, amend, and\n\nrepeal rules governing the following:\n\n1. The examination and licensing of persons desiring or\n\nintending to engage in the business, trade or calling of plumbing\n\ncontractor or journeyman plumber, implementing the provisions of The\n\nPlumbing License Law of 1955, including, but not limited to,\n\ndefining categories and limitations for such licenses;\n\n2. The registering of and issuing of certificates to persons\n\ndesiring or intending to work or act as a plumber's apprentice;\n\n3. The establishment and levying of administrative fines;\n\n4. The initiation of disciplinary proceedings;\n\n5. The requesting of prosecution of and initiation of\n\ninjunctive proceedings against any person who violates any of the\n\nprovisions of The Plumbing License Law of 1955 or any rule\n\npromulgated pursuant to The Plumbing License Law of 1955;\n\n6. The establishment of minimum standards of plumbing\n\ninstallation; and\n\n7. The establishment of bonding and insurance requirements for\n\nthe issuance of a license as a plumbing contractor; provided, such\n\nrules shall not be inconsistent with the terms and conditions\n\nhereinafter provided.\n\nB. Such bonding requirements shall allow the filing of cash or\n\na certificate of deposit in lieu of a bond. A state bond or cash or\n\ncertificate of deposit filed in lieu of a bond and which is posted\n\npursuant to the provisions of this section shall be deemed\n\nsufficient to meet the requirements of any municipality, provided\n\nthat a copy of said bond or documentation of cash or certificate of\n\ndeposit filed in lieu of a bond shall be filed by the contractor\n\nprior to the commencement of any plumbing work with any municipality\n\nin which the licensee does work if required by local ordinances or\n\nrules.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"75f8fbc18618f17a0cd2f92ef0baa2b50a100f80a78d1363bb14aa5d3efe7a8a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1001","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1002.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
