Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1004","heading":"Oklahoma State Committee of Plumbing Examiners -","body":"Membership - Tenure - Qualifications and duties - Travel expenses.\n\nA. The Oklahoma State Committee of Plumbing Examiners is hereby\n\ncreated and shall consist of five (5) members, each of whom shall be\n\na citizen of the United States, and a resident of this state. One\n\nmember shall be appointed from each congressional district and any\n\nremaining members shall be appointed from the state at large.\n\nHowever, when congressional districts are redrawn each member\n\nappointed prior to July 1 of the year in which such modification\n\nbecomes effective shall complete the current term of office and\n\nappointments made after July 1 of the year in which such\n\nmodification becomes effective shall be based on the redrawn\n\ndistricts. Appointments made after July 1 of the year in which such\n\nmodification becomes effective shall be from any redrawn districts\n\nwhich are not represented by a board member until such time as each\n\nof the modified congressional districts are represented by a board\n\nmember. No appointments may be made after July 1 of the year in\n\nwhich such modification becomes effective if such appointment would\n\nresult in more than two members serving from the same modified\n\ndistrict. Beginning January 1, 2002, as the terms of members\n\nserving on the Committee on such date expire, members of the\n\nCommittee shall be appointed by the Construction Industries Board\n\nwhich may also remove them for cause. They will hold office for\n\nterms of two (2) years, or until their successors are appointed.\n\nTwo members of the Committee shall have had at least five (5) years'\n\npractical experience as a licensed master plumber or plumbing\n\ncontractor, and two members shall have had at least five (5) years'\n\npractical experience as a licensed journeyman plumber. One member\n\nshall be a plumbing inspector selected from lists of names submitted\n\nfrom plumbing inspection industries. Whenever appointments of\n\ninitial, new, or replacement plumbing members of the Committee are\n\nto be made, the Board shall choose them only from lists of at least\n\nthree names to be furnished whenever needed as follows:\n\n1. Master plumber or plumbing contractor member - lists to be\n\nfurnished by associated plumbing and heating contractors of this\n\nstate;\n\n2. Journeyman plumber member - lists to be furnished by state\n\npipe trades associations;\n\n3. One licensed master plumber or plumbing contractor who is\n\nnot a member of an association of plumbing, heating, and cooling\n\ncontractors of this state; and\n\n4. One licensed journeyman plumber who is not a member of a\n\nstate pipe trades association.\n\nB. Duties of the Committee shall be to serve the Construction\n\nIndustries Board in an advisory capacity, to formulate rules\n\npursuant to The Plumbing License Law of 1955, and to assist and\n\nadvise the Board on the examination of applicants for licenses as\n\njourneyman plumber or plumbing contractor, in accordance with such\n\nrules and the terms and conditions hereof. A majority of the\n\nCommittee shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.\n\nC.
