Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1107","heading":"Application for certificate - Qualifications - Renewals,","body":"expiratrion.\n\nA. Upon application, made upon a form to be prescribed by the\n\nDepartment, by an individual not less than eighteen (18) years of\n\nage, the Department shall issue a certificate when the applicant has\n\npaid a nonrefundable application fee and has met any one of the\n\nfollowing qualifications:\n\n1. An applicant who successfully completes training and\n\nexamination as prescribed by the Department; or\n\n2. An applicant who holds a license or certificate issued by\n\nany other state or territory of the United States, and currently\n\nvalid at the time he makes application hereunder, similar to a\n\ncertificate provided for herein, where the requirements of such\n\nother state or territory for the issuance of a license or\n\ncertificate, at the time such applicant received said license or\n\ncertificate, were of a level found by the Department to be the\n\nequivalent of the standards required hereby for a certificate of\n\nsimilar kind. Provided, however, that no certificate shall be\n\nissued under this paragraph unless the holder of a certificate under\n\nthis act would be issued a similar license or certificate by such\n\nother state or territory under substantially the same conditions.\n\nB. All fees shall be deposited in the Certification Fund.\n\nC. Any certificate issued under this section shall be renewable\n\nannually for the period from July 1 to June 30.\n\nD. A certificate shall be renewed upon approval of the\n\nDepartment. Application for such renewal shall be submitted to the\n\nDepartment on forms prescribed by the Department, shall be\n\naccompanied by a renewal fee as set by the Board and shall include\n\ndocumentation that the applicant has met the annual renewal training\n\nrequirements of the Department. The Department may allow a thirty-\n\none-day grace period for such renewals, from July 1 through July 31,\n\nwithout requiring payment of a late fee as set by the Board,\n\nprovided the applicant submits the required renewal fee and\n\nqualifies for such renewal.\n\nE. A certificate which is not so renewed by July 31 shall have\n\nno further force, effect or validity unless the Department, upon\n\nreceipt of an application from the holder of the expired certificate\n\nwithin two (2) years after the certificate's June 30 renewal date,\n\nreactivates such certificate. Such reactivation application shall\n\ninclude the submission of data on forms prescribed by the\n\nDepartment, renewal and reactivation late fees as set by the Board,\n\nand documentation that the applicant has met the Department's\n\nrenewal training requirements. A reactivated certificate may be\n\nrenewed annually thereafter as provided in this section.\n\nF.
