Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1108","heading":"Temporary permit for operation of waterworks or","body":"wastewater works.\n\nAny individual who, after the effective date of this act, is\n\nemployed or appointed as operator of a waterworks or wastewater\n\nworks for the operation of which he does not hold a certificate, or\n\nthe operation of which would be contrary to the terms and conditions\n\nof any certificate held by such individual, shall be issued a\n\ntemporary certificate for the operation of such works by the\n\nDepartment upon satisfactory application made therefor within ten\n\n(10) days after initial employment or appointment of such individual\n\nas the operator of such works, accompanied by a fee as set by the\n\nBoard. Such application shall be made under oath, and shall provide\n\nin addition any information required by the Department. Said\n\ntemporary certificate shall expire one (1) calendar year after the\n\ndate of the applicant's initial employment as the operator of such\n\nworks, and shall not be renewable. If such application is not made\n\nwithin said ten (10) days, then the continuation of such individual\n\nas the operator of such works after said ten (10) days shall be\n\nunlawful and shall constitute a violation of this act by both said\n\nindividual and the person owning or maintaining such works. If the\n\nissuance of such temporary certificate is refused for any lawful\n\nreason, then the continuation of such individual as the operator of\n\nsuch works after thirty (30) days after the Department has mailed\n\nnotice of such refusal to the person owning or maintaining such\n\nworks, and to such applicant, shall be unlawful and shall constitute\n\na violation of this act by both said individual and the person\n\nowning or maintaining such works. Not more than one temporary\n\ncertificate shall be issued to the same individual during any five-\n\nyear period. This section shall not be applicable to or authorize\n\nthe issuance of a temporary certificate to any individual who has\n\nhad a certificate revoked or whose certificate is under suspension,\n\nor to whom the issuance or renewal or reactivation of a certificate\n\nhas been refused, under Section 1113 of this title, except where\n\nsuch individual has thereafter been reinstated or issued a\n\ncertificate as provided in the Waterworks and Wastewater Works\n\nOperator Certification Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1cb86aa80dc37034e517564ecb19e0a4cbbb20fca6c7c611927ff6161c5decbb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1107","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
