A municipality, sewer improvement district, water or sewer\n\npublic trust, or rural water or sewer district may hire or contract\n\nfor the services of one or more operators, properly licensed and\n\ncertified by the Department of Environmental Quality, to operate the\n\nentity’s publicly owned public water supply or wastewater systems.\n\nThe entity may contract with a small publicly owned water supply\n\nsystem or small publicly owned wastewater system to provide the\n\nservices of the entity’s certified operator or operators to assist\n\nin the operation of the small system.\n\nB. A consortium of small publicly owned water supply systems or\n\nsmall publicly owned wastewater systems may hire or contract for the\n\nservices of one or more operators, properly licensed and certified\n\nby the Department, to provide certified operator services for those\n\nsmall publicly owned public water supply or wastewater systems.\n\nC. A substate planning district may hire or contract for the\n\nservices of one or more operators, properly licensed and certified\n\nby the Department, to provide certified operator services for small\n\npublicly owned public water supply or wastewater systems within the\n\nsubstate planning district.\n\nD. The Oklahoma Rural Water Association may hire or contract\n\nfor the services of one or more operators, properly licensed and\n\ncertified by the Department, to provide certified operator services\n\nfor small publicly owned public water supply or waste water systems.\n\nE.
