Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1150.5","heading":"Sanitarian and Environmental Specialist Registration","body":"Advisory Council.\n\nA. There is hereby created the \"Sanitarian and Environmental\n\nSpecialist Registration Advisory Council\", which shall consist of\n\nnine (9) members as follows:\n\n1. One member shall be the Commissioner of Health or designated\n\nrepresentative;\n\n2. One member shall be the Executive Director of the Department\n\nof Environmental Quality or designee;\n\n3. One member shall be the Director of the Office of Management\n\nand Enterprise Services or designee;\n\n4. One member who shall be appointed for an initial term of\n\nthree (3) years by the Director of the City-County Health Department\n\nof Oklahoma County;\n\n5. One member who shall be appointed for an initial term of\n\nthree (3) years by the Director of the Tulsa City-County Health\n\nDepartment;\n\n6. Two members shall be employed by state government who shall\n\nbe appointed by the Commissioner for an initial term of two (2)\n\nyears each; and\n\n7. Two members, for an initial term of one (1) year each, who\n\nshall be appointed by the Executive Director of the Department of\n\nEnvironmental Quality, one who is employed by private industry and\n\none who is employed by the Indian Health Service of the Public\n\nHealth Service or by a tribal government with an office in the State\n\nof Oklahoma.\n\nB. With the exception of paragraph 3 of subsection A of this\n\nsection all of the members shall have at least five (5) years of\n\nexperience as registered sanitarians or environmental specialists.\n\nC. After expiration of one initial term of office, the term of\n\noffice of each appointed member shall be for three (3) years. Each\n\nappointed member shall hold office until his successor is appointed\n\nand has qualified under the Oklahoma Sanitarian and Environmental\n\nSpecialist Registration Act. The initial term for all appointed\n\nmembers shall begin January 1, 1996.\n\nD. Sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the term to be\n\nfilled or whenever a vacancy occurs, any statewide organization\n\nwhose membership represents more than twenty percent (20%) of the\n\nregistered sanitarians and environmental specialists in the state\n\nmay recommend three persons for such position or vacancy to the\n\nappointing authority.\n\nE. Appointed members of the Council may be removed from office\n\nby the appointing authority.\n\nF. The members of the Council shall serve without pay but may\n\nbe reimbursed for actual expenses pursuant to the State Travel\n\nReimbursement Act.\n\nG. The Council shall elect from among its membership a chair,\n\nvice-chair and secretary to serve a term of not more than one (1)\n\nyear ending on July 1 of the year designated by the Council.\n\nMembers may be elected for more than one term. The chair or vice-\n\nchair shall preside at all meetings. The chair, vice-chair and\n\nsecretary shall perform such duties as may be decided by the Council\n\nin order to effectively administer the Oklahoma Sanitarian and\n\nEnvironmental Specialist Registration Act.\n\nH. A majority of Council members shall constitute a quorum to\n\ntransact official business.\n\nI.
