Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1150.7","heading":"Certificate of registration - Qualifications - Issuance","body":"- Sanitarian- or environmental specialist-in-training.\n\nA. Applicants for certificate of registration as a sanitarian\n\nor environmental specialist shall be approved for registration by\n\nthe Council upon compliance with the following:\n\n1. Have two (2) years of postgraduate, full-time experience\n\nworking in the fields of public health or environmental protection;\n\n2. Have a four-year baccalaureate degree with a major in public\n\nhealth, environmental health, environmental science, physical\n\nscience, natural science, biological science, agricultural science,\n\nor equivalent, from an accredited college or university with at\n\nleast thirty (30) semester hours of work in physical, natural and\n\nbiological sciences, public health and/or environmental health or\n\nenvironmental protection or both environmental health and\n\nenvironmental protection;\n\n3. Pass an examination prescribed by the Council, demonstrating\n\nknowledge and understanding of the principles of sanitation and of\n\nthe physical, biological and environmental sciences; and\n\n4. Pay applicable examination and registration fees.\n\nB. Upon compliance with subsection A of this section, the\n\nCommissioner shall issue a certificate of registration as a\n\nregistered professional sanitarian or registered professional\n\nenvironmental specialist. The area of specialization, if any, shall\n\nbe designated on the certificate.\n\nC. Applicants who, except for the experience requirement, meet\n\nall qualifications for registration as required in this section may\n\nbe granted a certificate as a sanitarian- or environmental\n\nspecialist-in-training, which certificate shall remain in effect,\n\nunless revoked by the Commissioner, for a period not to exceed\n\nthirty (30) months after date of issue.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b7896394a782089375000994b4169810fe3089d855ea854390e4c5dde29c57ea","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1150.6","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1150.8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
