Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1151.17","heading":"Application for building permits - Disclosure of","body":"registration certificate number.\n\nA. When applying for any permit required by the state or any of\n\nits political subdivisions for roofing services or jobs, a roofing\n\ncontractor shall supply the permit-issuing official that roofing\n\ncontractor's registration certificate number issued pursuant to the\n\nRoofing Contractor Registration Act. That official shall enter a\n\nroofing contractor's registration number on the permit. The\n\nregistrar may investigate any roofing project for purposes of\n\nverifying roofing contractor registration or permit verification.\n\nB. A person performing as a roofing contractor on his or her\n\nown property, although exempt from the registration requirements of\n\nthe Roofing Contractor Registration Act, shall, when applying for a\n\npermit required for the project, supply the permit-issuing official\n\nany roofing contractor registration number, as soon as available, of\n\neach roofing subcontractor engaged in roofing services and doing\n\nwork covered by the permit, if any. That official shall enter each\n\nroofing contractor registration number so supplied before inspection\n\nof the job.\n\nC. A roofing contractor shall display his or her roofing\n\ncontractor registration number issued pursuant to the Roofing\n\nContractor Registration Act on every business sign, card,\n\ncorrespondence, and contract used to solicit and conduct roofing\n\nservices in this state and shall display the roofing firm name,\n\nexistence of any commercial roofer endorsement, and the roofing\n\ncontractor registration number bearing the initials \"OK\" preceding\n\nthat registration number issued by the registrar on all vehicles\n\nused to transport materials in the operation of the business. Such\n\nnames, endorsements, and numbers shall be printed in letters and\n\nnumerals at least two (2) inches in height in a conspicuous location\n\non both sides of each vehicle in contrasting color to the background\n\ncolor.\n\nD. Each registrant shall post in a conspicuous place on each\n\njob site the name, existence of any commercial roofer endorsement,\n\nregistration number, and telephone number for the registration under\n\nwhich any work is being performed, and on all media containing the\n\nregistrant's name, including but not limited to magnetic signs on\n\nvehicles, business cards, contracts, bids, letterhead, signs, and\n\nadvertisements.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e2c38b13b039c5dcce7c1ecc6934b7c9b7c023b618ae38eafbaa52269b844d72","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1151.16","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1151.18"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
