Except as otherwise provided in the Roofing Contractor\n\nRegistration Act, on and after July 1, 2015, every roofing\n\ncontractor offering to engage in or engaging in performing\n\ncommercial roofing contractor work in this state shall be required\n\nto take and successfully pass a commercial roofing examination\n\napproved under the provisions of this act, and be in compliance with\n\nall other provisions of the act and rules thereof before acting or\n\nbeing endorsed as a commercial roofing contractor.\n\nB. Examinations for a commercial roofer endorsement shall be\n\nuniform and practical in nature and sufficiently strict to test the\n\nqualifications and fitness of the applicants for endorsement.\n\nExaminations shall be in whole or in part in writing. Examinations\n\nshall be offered at least monthly; dates, times and locations are to\n\nbe determined by the registrar or third-party vendor with approval\n\nof the registrar.\n\nC. Any applicant initially failing to pass the examination\n\nshall not be permitted to take another examination for a period of\n\nthirty (30) days. Any applicant subsequently failing to pass the\n\nexamination shall not be permitted to take another examination for a\n\nperiod of ninety (90) days. However, in a declared state of\n\nemergency, the examination shall be available as often as possible\n\nas determined by the registrar.\n\nD.
