Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1151.4","heading":"Construction Industries Board","body":"The Construction Industries Board is authorized to administer\n\nthe Roofing Contractor Registration Act. In addition to the powers\n\nstated in the Construction Industries Board Act, the Board shall\n\nhave the following powers:\n\n1. Exercise all incidental powers and duties necessary to\n\neffectuate the provisions of the Roofing Contractor Registration\n\nAct;\n\n2. Promulgate, adopt, amend, suspend and repeal rules as may be\n\nreasonably necessary to effectuate the provisions of the Roofing\n\nContractor Registration Act, the proper performance of its duties,\n\nand to define categories and limitations for such registration. The\n\nrule-making powers of the Construction Industries Board are subject\n\nto the Administrative Procedure Act, including those pertaining to\n\nemergency or temporary rules or regulations;\n\n3. Promulgate forms to implement the provisions of the Roofing\n\nContractor Registration Act. The Board may administer any provision\n\nof this act through use of the Internet or other technology as\n\ndeemed necessary or appropriate;\n\n4. Issue, refuse to issue, suspend, revoke or deny a\n\nregistration, or take any other action provided by the requirements\n\nof the Roofing Contractor Registration Act;\n\n5. Collect fees, fines and civil penalties pursuant to the\n\nRoofing Contractor Registration Act and the promulgated rules;\n\n6. Enter upon public and private property for the purpose of\n\ninspecting workers' registrations and roofing work for compliance\n\nwith the provisions of the Roofing Contractor Registration Act and\n\nof the rules of the Board promulgated pursuant thereto;\n\n7. Employ personnel and procure such supplies and equipment as\n\nmay be necessary to carry out and implement the provisions of this\n\nact, subject to budgetary limitations and funding;\n\n8. Investigate complaints, qualifications of qualifying parties\n\nor applicants for registration, and any person to the extent\n\nnecessary to determine if the person is engaged in the violation of\n\nthe provisions of the Roofing Contractor Registration Act, including\n\nunlawful or unregistered activity. The Construction Industries\n\nBoard may refer the matter for misdemeanor prosecution, whether or\n\nnot the person ceases the unlawful and/or unregistered activity;\n\n9. Initiate disciplinary proceedings, request prosecution of\n\nand initiate injunctive proceedings against any person who violates\n\nany of the provisions of the Roofing Contractor Registration Act or\n\nany rule promulgated pursuant to the Roofing Contractor Registration\n\nAct;\n\n10. Reprimand or place on probation, or both, any holder of a\n\nregistration pursuant to the Roofing Contractor Registration Act;\n\n11. Administer oaths, order or subpoena the attendance of\n\nwitnesses, the inspection of records and premises, and the\n\nproduction of books, records, and papers for the investigation of\n\nmatters that may come before the Board;\n\n12. Authority to appoint members who shall serve as a code\n\nvariance and appeals board;\n\n13. Maintain an administrative staff to carry out the\n\nresponsibilities of the Board and Committee;\n\n14. The registrar shall maintain and provide a complete roster\n\nlisting the names, last-known addresses, and status of all\n\nregistrants. The registrar may condense or provide an abstract of a\n\nroofing contractor's record for public information; provided, a\n\ncomplete record is available for public inspection upon written\n\nrequest; and\n\n15. Upon the advice and recommendation of the Committee, the\n\nBoard may, in its discretion, enter into a written reciprocity\n\nagreement with another state if the requirements for registration in\n\nthe other state are deemed by the Committee to be substantially the\n\nsame or equivalent to the requirements for obtaining an original\n\nregistration in force in this state at the date of such\n\nregistration, and then issue a registration by reciprocity to a\n\nqualified party applicant who is currently licensed or registered to\nity\n\nagreement with another state if the requirements for registration in\n\nthe other state are deemed by the Committee to be substantially the\n\nsame or equivalent to the requirements for obtaining an original\n\nregistration in force in this state at the date of such\n\nregistration, and then issue a registration by reciprocity to a\n\nqualified party applicant who is currently licensed or registered to\n\nengage in roofing contractor work in another state that has entered\n\ninto a written reciprocity agreement with the Board.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1d840e5604e88dcc0f2dec91debdfb5158c6650d59e7a384a598ed5b5699046c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1151.30","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1151.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
