Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1151.7","heading":"Roofing contractor registration certificate - Business","body":"limitations.\n\nThe holder of a roofing contractor registration certificate is\n\nentitled to engage in the roofing business within this state\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Roofing Contractor Registration\n\nAct, and subject to the following limitations:\n\n1. A roofing contractor's registration certificate number shall\n\nbe valid and in good standing at the time of soliciting a project\n\nand during subsequent job performance;\n\n2. Each roofing contractor issued a roofing contractor\n\nregistration shall display the roofing firm name and the roofing\n\ncontractor registration number bearing the initials \"OK\" preceding\n\nthat registration number issued by the registrar on all vehicles\n\nused to transport materials and tools in the operation of the\n\nbusiness. Such names, endorsements and numbers shall be printed in\n\nletters and numerals at least two (2) inches in height in a\n\nconspicuous location on both sides of each vehicle in contrasting\n\ncolor to the background color;\n\n3. Each roofing contractor issued a commercial roofer\n\nendorsement shall display the roofing firm name and the information\n\nthat the roofing contractor has a commercial roofer endorsement\n\nissued by the registrar on all vehicles used to transport materials\n\nand tools in the operation of the business. Such endorsement\n\ninformation shall be in print size that is at least two (2) inches\n\nin height in a conspicuous location on both sides of each vehicle in\n\ncontrasting color to the background color;\n\n4. Each registrant shall post in a conspicuous place on the job\n\nsite the name, existence of any endorsement, registration number,\n\nand telephone number for the registration under which any work is\n\nbeing performed, and on all media containing the registrant's name,\n\nincluding but not limited to magnetic signs on vehicles, business\n\ncards, contracts, bids, letterhead, signs, and advertisements;\n\n5. A roofing contractor's registration certificate number shall\n\nbe submitted when applying for any permit issued by the state, or\n\nany of its political subdivisions, for commercial or residential\n\nroofing services or projects, if a permit is required by such\n\nauthority, and shall be written upon each permit issued. Provided,\n\nhowever, no permitting authority shall require a roofing contractor\n\nregistration certificate as a condition to issuing a permit when\n\nregistration is exempt pursuant to Section 1151.9 of this title;\n\n6. A roofing contractor's registration certificate cannot be\n\nshared or used by any other individual or business entity; provided,\n\nhowever, a business firm, partnership, association, corporation,\n\nlimited liability company, or other group or combination thereof\n\nacting as a unit may be granted a single roofing registration\n\ncertificate number for use by designated roofing contractors acting\n\nas agents for the business entity when the application for\n\nregistration contained sufficient information on each member,\n\npartner, officer and agent and the registrar issued a single\n\ncertificate number to such persons as a business unit;\n\n7. Upon any change to the name, address, business entity,\n\nqualifying party, change in firm ownership of fifty percent (50%) or\n\nmore of the stock or beneficial interest in the company, or legal\n\nservice agent of a roofing contractor or upon adjudication by a\n\ncourt of competent jurisdiction for a violation of the Roofing\n\nContractor Registration Act or an act or omission specified in\n\nsubsection A of Section 1151.14 of this title, the registrar shall\n\nbe notified in writing within ten (10) days. Any proposed or final\n\norder or notice of hearing to the last-known address of record shall\n\nbe considered delivered when deposited in the United States mail\n\nand/or sent registered or certified or post office receipt secured.\n\nAny other communication to the last-known address of record of a\ntified in writing within ten (10) days. A roofing contractor shall comply with state laws and local\n\nordinances relating to standards and permits for roofing services\n\nand projects;\n\n9. A roofing contractor must pay taxes due in this state;\n\n10. Each registrant shall notify the registrar within ten (10)\n\ndays after he or she receives notice that any felony conviction has\n\nbeen rendered against him or her or the registrant or qualifying\n\nparty has pled guilty or nolo contendere to a felony. The\n\nnotification shall be in writing, by certified mail, and shall\n\ninclude a copy of the conviction, plea, or judgment and sentence;\n\n11. Each registrant shall notify the registrar immediately upon\n\nreceipt of an order imposing disciplinary action upon its\n\nregistration issued by any other professional regulatory board, in\n\nthis or any other jurisdiction. Disciplinary action taken against\n\nany other professional registration or license held by the\n\nregistrant in this jurisdiction or any other jurisdiction is grounds\n\nfor disciplinary action against the registration issued pursuant to\n\nthe Roofing Contractor Registration Act; and\n\n12. Each registrant shall utilize a valid written contract when\n\nengaging in the business of roofing contractor work. The contract\n\nshall contain the requirements described in Section 1151.21 of this\n\ntitle.
