Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1254","heading":"Appointment - Term - Vacancies - Removal - Compensation -","body":"Staff.\n\nA. The members of the State Board of Licensed Social Workers\n\nshall be appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of\n\nthe Senate. When a vacancy on the Board occurs or at the expiration\n\nof the term of a member, the Governor shall appoint, with the advice\n\nand consent of the Senate, the member's successor for a term of five\n\n(5) years. Members may serve more than two (2) terms, but shall be\n\nlimited to serving no more than two (2) consecutive terms.\n\nVacancies on the Board shall be filled in a like manner for the\n\nbalance of any unexpired term. Each member shall serve until a\n\nsuccessor is appointed and qualified.\n\nB. Members of the Board may be removed from office, pursuant to\n\nthe procedures set forth in the Administrative Procedures Act, upon\n\none or more of the following grounds:\n\n1. The refusal or inability for any reason of a Board member to\n\nperform the duties of a Board member in an efficient, responsible\n\nand professional manner;\n\n2. The misuse of office by a Board member for pecuniary or\n\nmaterial gain or for personal advantage for the Board member or\n\nanother;\n\n3. Violation by any Board member of the laws governing the\n\npractice of social work; or\n\n4. Conviction of a felony shown by a certified copy of the\n\nrecord of the court of conviction.\n\nC. Members of the Board shall serve without compensation, but\n\nshall be reimbursed their actual and necessary travel expenses as\n\nprovided in the State Travel Reimbursement Act.\n\nD.
