Any bail bondsman who discontinues writing bail bonds during\n\nthe period for which he is licensed shall notify the clerks of the\n\ndistrict courts and the sheriffs with whom he is registered and\n\nreturn his license to the Commissioner for cancellation within\n\nthirty (30) days from such discontinuance. Prior to the\n\ndiscontinuance of licensure, the bail bondsman shall make and submit\n\nto the Commissioner a list of all outstanding bonds and obtain a\n\nrelease for each bond that he has written from the court clerk or\n\nsheriff of each county in which a bond is written or an affidavit\n\nfrom another bondsman stating that such bonds have been transferred\n\nto his care.\n\nB. Any person convicted of violating this section shall be\n\nguilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, be punished by\n\na fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than\n\nOne Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment for not less\n\nthan six (6) months nor more than one (1) year, or by both such fine\n\nand imprisonment.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"9e910c66403b83bd57f7bf76659f35c4938319f961cd56452235abb96c309536","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1317","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1320"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
