Stat. tit. 59, § 59-136","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Podiatric Medicine Practice Act, these words,\n\nphrases or terms, unless the context otherwise indicates, shall have\n\nthe following meanings:\n\n1. \"Accredited college of podiatric medicine\" means a podiatric\n\nmedicine educational institution which confers the degree of Doctor\n\nof Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.), or its equivalent, and meets all of\n\nthe requirements for accreditation by the Council on Podiatric\n\nMedical Education of the American Podiatric Medical Association,\n\nInc.;\n\n2. \"Board\" means the Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners;\n\n3. \"Oklahoma Podiatric Medical Association\" means the Oklahoma\n\nPodiatric Medical Association, Inc., a nonprofit corporation\n\norganized and existing under the laws of this state for the\n\nassociation of podiatric physicians and for the advancement of the\n\nprofession of podiatric medicine; and\n\n4. \"Podiatric physician\", \"doctor of podiatric medicine\" and\n\n\"podiatrist\" are synonymous and mean a person duly licensed pursuant\n\nto the laws of this state to practice podiatric medicine.\n\n5. \"Code of Ethics\" means the Code of Ethics of the American\n\nPodiatric Medical Association, as currently adopted, or as\n\nhereinafter amended by said Association.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"8d671168521a47b5ab3f55268fe221990296c37e6496f3c0bac4616c84994039","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1358","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1360"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
