Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1502","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Administrator\" means the Administrator of Consumer Affairs\n\ndefined in the Uniform Consumer Credit Code.\n\n2. \"Month\" means that period of time from one date in a\n\ncalendar month to the corresponding date in the following calendar\n\nmonth, but if there is no such corresponding date, then the last day\n\nof such following month, and when computations are made for a\n\nfraction of a month, a day shall be one-thirtieth (1/30) of a month.\n\n3. \"Pawnbroker\" means a person engaged in the business of making\n\npawn transactions.\n\n4. \"Pawn finance charge\" means the sum of all charges, payable\n\ndirectly or indirectly by the customer and imposed directly or\n\nindirectly by the pawnbroker as an incident to the pawn transaction.\n\n5. \"Pawnshop\" means the location at which or premises in which a\n\npawnbroker regularly conducts business.\n\n6. \"Pawn transaction\" means the act of lending money on the\n\nsecurity of pledged goods or the act of purchasing tangible personal\n\nproperty on condition that it may be redeemed or repurchased by the\n\nseller for a fixed price within a fixed period of time.\n\n7. \"Person\" means an individual, partnership, corporation,\n\njoint venture, trust, association or any other legal entity however\n\norganized.\n\n8. \"Pledged goods\" means tangible personal property other than\n\nchoses in action, securities or printed evidences of indebtedness,\n\nwhich property is deposited with or otherwise actually delivered\n\ninto the possession of a pawnbroker in the course of his business\n\nin connection with a pawn transaction.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0d0ddc0f93c8829cd00d292fb0966961068c1997a2b67476b38a215ad2f94058","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1501","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
