The Board of Chiropractic Examiners is authorized, after\n\nnotice and opportunity for a hearing, pursuant to Article II of the\n\nAdministrative Procedures Act, to issue an order suspending the\n\noriginal license or renewal license, or both, of a chiropractic\n\nphysician whenever the Board finds, by clear and convincing\n\nevidence, that the chiropractic physician has become incompetent to\n\npractice chiropractic because of mental illness. Commitment of a\n\nchiropractic physician to an institution for the mentally ill shall\n\nbe considered prima facie evidence of his incompetency to practice\n\nchiropractic because of mental illness.\n\nB. Any chiropractic physician who has his original license or\n\nrenewal license, or both, suspended under the provisions of this\n\nsection shall have the right to seek a judicial review of the order\n\npursuant to Article II of the Administrative Procedures Act.\n\nC. The Board, on its own motion or on the application of a\n\nchiropractic physician whose original license or renewal license, or\n\nboth, have been suspended under the provisions of this section, is\n\nauthorized, on proper showing that the chiropractic physician's\n\ncompetency to practice chiropractic has been restored, to reinstate\n\nthe license or licenses at any time; provided, however,\n\nreinstatement shall not be made while the chiropractic physician is\n\nconfined in an institution for the mentally ill.
