A Chiropractic Education Scholarship Program, to be\n\nadministered by the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, is hereby\n\ncreated. Chiropractic education scholarships may be awarded each\n\nfiscal year to persons approved by the Board for the study of\n\nchiropractic leading to the attainment of the degree of doctor of\n\nchiropractic. To be eligible to receive a scholarship a person\n\nmust:\n\n1. Be a legal resident of this state for not less than five (5)\n\nyears prior to the date of submitting an application to the Board;\n\n2. Meet all requirements and academic standards established by\n\nthe Board;\n\n3. Attend an accredited chiropractic college; and\n\n4. Demonstrate satisfactory progress in the study of\n\nchiropractic.\n\nB. Preference in the granting of such scholarships shall be\n\ngiven to those individuals with the highest weighted scholastic\n\naverages, provided they are persons of high integrity and character\n\nand are found by the Board to have those qualities and attributes\n\nwhich give a reasonable assurance of their pursuing to completion\n\nthe course of study required for a degree of doctor of chiropractic.\n\nThe scholarships shall be awarded in an amount not to exceed Six\n\nThousand Dollars ($6,000.00) each year per student. No student\n\nshall be given more than four (4) annual scholarships.
