The Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and\n\nAudiology, in addition to the other powers and duties prescribed by\n\nthe Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act, shall\n\nhave the power and duty to:\n\n1. Regulate the practice of speech-language pathology and\n\naudiology in this state;\n\n2. Examine the applicants and issue the appropriate licenses\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Speech-Language Pathology and\n\nAudiology Licensing Act to applicants qualified in the practice of\n\nspeech-language pathology and audiology;\n\n3. Continue in effect, suspend, revoke, modify or deny,\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Speech-Language Pathology and\n\nAudiology Licensing Act and such conditions as the Board may\n\nprescribe, licenses for the practice of speech-language pathology\n\nand audiology in this state;\n\n4. Investigate complaints and hold hearings pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing\n\nAct and the Administrative Procedures Act;\n\n5. Initiate prosecutions against licensees in violation of the\n\nprovisions of the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing\n\nAct;\n\n6. Reprimand or place on probation, or both, any holder of a\n\nlicense pursuant to the provisions of the Speech-Language Pathology\n\nand Audiology Licensing Act;\n\n7. Adopt and promulgate standards of conduct for speech-\n\nlanguage pathologists and audiologists consistent with accepted\n\nnational standards;\n\n8. Develop and promulgate rules necessary to effectuate the\n\nprovisions of the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing\n\nAct;\n\n9. Enforce rules promulgated pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nSpeech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act;\n\n10. Communicate disciplinary actions to relevant state and\n\nfederal authorities, to other state speech-language pathology and\n\naudiology licensing authorities requesting such information, and to\n\nother state and national professional associations requesting such\n\ninformation; and\n\n11. Exercise all incidental powers and duties which are\n\nnecessary and proper to effectuate the provisions of the Speech-\n\nLanguage Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act.\n\nB. The conferral or enumeration of specific powers elsewhere in\n\nthe Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act shall not\n\nbe construed as a limitation of the general functions conferred by\n\nthis section.\n\nC.
