Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1626","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Certificate\" means the document issued to an applicant upon\n\nsuccessful examination;\n\n2. \"Certification\" means the testimony of qualifications;\n\n3. \"Code\" means United States of America National Standard\n\nInstitute Code;\n\n4. \"Committee\" means the Oklahoma State Labor Department,\n\nBoiler Inspection Department, Chief Boiler Inspector;\n\n5. \"Qualification\" means the successful completion of all parts\n\nof the requirements set out by the Oklahoma Department of Labor;\n\n6. \"Welding inspector\" means a person who has met the\n\nrequirements of this act;\n\n7. \"Weld-testing facility\" means a qualified and approved\n\ntesting facility approved by the Oklahoma Department of Labor;\n\n8. \"Weldment\" means a welded assembly in which the bulk of the\n\ncomponent parts are prepared and joined by any combination of the\n\ncutting and welding processes covered by Section 1628 of this title;\n\n9. \"Work\" means that portion of the product or weldment that\n\nspecifically involves or affects the use of welding;\n\n10. \"Welder\" means a person who has met the requirements of\n\nthis act; and\n\n11. “Structural steel or steel deck welding” has the same\n\nmeaning as defined in American Welding Society D1.1 and D1.3.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"21ae218fb0058cbe0f0d2f398bd7a94ed776940365bb0f7a8b5013ea186b8aa1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1625","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1627"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
