Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1630","heading":"Standards of skills, practice and conduct of welding","body":"inspectors.\n\nA. In order to safeguard the public health and well-being and\n\nto maintain integrity and high standards of skills, practice and\n\nconduct in the occupation of welding inspection, the certified\n\nwelding inspector shall be cognizant of the principles provided in\n\nthis section and the scope to which they apply with the\n\nunderstanding that any unauthorized practice is subject to the\n\nCommittee's review and may result in suspension or revocation of\n\ncertification.\n\nB. The welding inspector shall act with complete integrity in\n\nprofessional matters and be forthright and candid to the\n\nrepresentatives on matters pertaining to this act.\n\nC. The welding inspector shall preserve the health and well-\n\nbeing of the public by performing the duties required of welding\n\ninspectors in a conscientious and impartial manner to the full\n\nextent of his moral and civic responsibilities and qualifications.\n\nAccordingly, the welding inspector shall:\n\n1. Undertake and perform assignments only when qualified by\n\ntraining, experience and capability; and\n\n2. Be completely objective, thorough and factual in any written\n\nreport, statement or testimony of the work and include all relevant\n\nor pertinent information in such communiques or testimonials.\n\nD. With regard to public statements, the welding inspector\n\nshall:\n\n1. Issue no statements, criticisms or arguments on weld\n\ninspection matters connected with public policy which are inspired\n\nor paid for by one or more interested parties without first\n\nidentifying the party and speaker, and disclosing any possible\n\npecuniary interest; and\n\n2. Publicly express no opinion on a weld inspection subject\n\nunless it is founded upon an adequate knowledge of the facts in\n\nissue, upon a background of technical competence pertinent to the\n\nsubject, and upon honest conviction of the accuracy and propriety of\n\nthe statement.\n\nE. With regard to conflicts of interest, the welding inspector\n\nshall:\n\n1. Conscientiously avoid conflict of interest with his client\n\nand shall disclose any business association, interests or\n\ncircumstances that might be so considered;\n\n2. Not accept compensation, financial or otherwise, from more\n\nthan one party for services on the same project, or for services\n\npertaining to the same project, unless the circumstances are fully\n\ndisclosed and agreed to by all interested parties or their\n\nauthorized agents;\n\n3. Not solicit or accept gratuities, directly or indirectly,\n\nfrom one or more parties dealing with the client or employer in\n\nconnection with the welding inspector's work; and\n\n4. Neither inspect, review nor approve any work on behalf of\n\none or more parties, while serving in the capacity of an elected,\n\nretained or employed public official.\n\nF. With regard to solicitation of employment, the welding\n\ninspector shall:\n\n1. Neither pay, solicit nor offer, directly or indirectly, any\n\nbribe or commission for professional employment with the exception\n\nof the usual commission or fees required; and\n\n2.
