The Construction Industries Board shall, upon proper\n\napplication and payment of fee, register as an electrical apprentice\n\nand issue a certificate of such registration to any person who\n\nfurnishes satisfactory proof to the Board that the applicant is:\n\n1. Sixteen (16) years of age or older; or\n\n2. Enrolled in a school or federal training program for\n\nelectrical apprentices recognized by the Board or employed as an\n\nelectrical apprentice with an active licensed electrical contractor.\n\nB. The Construction Industries Board shall, upon proper\n\napplication and payment of fee, register as a student apprentice and\n\nissue a certificate of such registration to any person who furnishes\n\nsatisfactory proof to the Board that the applicant is:\n\n1. Sixteen (16) years of age or older;\n\n2. Enrolled in high school and enrolled in a work-ready or\n\nsimilar program; and\n\n3. Employed with an active licensed electrical contractor.\n\nA student apprentice may not apply more than five hundred (500)\n\nhours per school year toward his or her journeyman requirements.\n\nC. All applications for examination, license or renewal of\n\nlicense shall be made in writing to the Board on forms provided, if\n\nnecessary, by the Board. All applications shall be accompanied by\n\nthe appropriate fee.\n\nD.
