Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1688v2","heading":"Term of license and apprentice registration","body":"certificates — Renewal and reregistration — Late penalty.\n\nA. No license shall be issued for longer than one (1) year, and\n\nall licenses shall expire on the last day in the birth month of the\n\nlicensee. A license may be renewed upon application and payment of\n\nfees thirty (30) days preceding or following the date the license is\n\ndue. Licenses renewed more than thirty (30) days following the date\n\nof expiration may be renewed only upon application and payment of\n\nall required fees and payment of any penalty for late renewal\n\nestablished by the Construction Industries Board and upon compliance\n\nwith any applicable continuing education requirements established by\n\nthe Board and the Electrical License Act. No penalty for late\n\nrenewal shall be charged to any holder of a license which expires\n\nwhile the holder is in military service, if an application for\n\nrenewal is made within one (1) year following the service discharge\n\nof the holder.\n\nB. No journeyman or contractor license shall be renewed unless\n\nthe licensee has completed the required hours of continuing\n\neducation, as determined and approved by the Committee of Electrical\n\nExaminers and approved by the Construction Industries Board.\n\nC. An apprentice registration certificate shall be issued for\n\none (1) year, at which time the apprentice may reregister upon\n\nmeeting the requirements of the Construction Industries Board and\n\npaying the renewal fee.\n\nD. A student apprentice registration certificate shall be\n\nissued for the registrant's school year.
