Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1722","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Licensed Dietitian Act:\n\n1. \"Board\" means the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision;\n\n2. \"Committee\" means the Advisory Committee on Dietetic\n\nRegistration of the State Board of Medical Examiners;\n\n3. \"Dietetics\" means the integration and application of\n\nprinciples derived from the sciences of nutrition, biochemistry,\n\nfood, physiology, behavioral and social sciences to provide\n\nnutrition services that include:\n\na. nutrition assessment,\n\nb. the establishment of priorities, goals and objectives\n\nthat meet nutritional needs,\n\nc. the provisions of nutrition counseling in health and\n\ndisease,\n\nd. the development, implementation and management of\n\nnutrition care plans, and\n\ne. the evaluation and maintenance of appropriate\n\nstandards of quality in food and nutrition;\n\n4. \"Licensed dietitian\" means a person licensed pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the Licensed Dietitian Act;\n\n5. \"Provisional licensed dietitian\" means a person who has a\n\nlimited license pursuant to the provisions of the Licensed Dietitian\n\nAct;\n\n6. \"Degree\" means a degree from an accredited college or\n\nuniversity;\n\n7. \"Nutrition assessment\" means the evaluation of the\n\nnutritional needs of individuals and groups based upon appropriate\n\nbiochemical, physical and dietary data to determine nutrient needs\n\nand recommend appropriate nutrition intake including enteral and\n\nparenteral nutrition; and\n\n8. \"Nutrition counseling\" means advising and assisting\n\nindividuals or groups on appropriate nutrition intake by integrating\n\ninformation from a nutrition assessment.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b469c030a0ab6c42a47b4b7a97d742b0060aa75d3ec251bc0f8ce860f9e7cb31","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1721","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1723"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
