There is hereby created the Advisory Committee on Dietetic\n\nRegistration of the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision. The Committee shall assist the Board in conducting\n\nexaminations for applicants and shall advise the Board on all\n\nmatters pertaining to the licensure of dietitians.\n\nB. The Committee shall be composed of three members, who are\n\nlicensed dietitians. A fourth member shall be an ex officio member\n\nof the Board designated from their membership. A fifth member shall\n\nbe a health care consumer appointed by the Governor. Committee\n\nmembers shall serve staggered terms of three (3) years with two\n\nterms beginning September 1 of each odd-numbered year.\n\nC. The Board shall appoint the Committee members from a list of\n\nfive persons submitted by the Oklahoma Dietetic Association. All\n\nmembers shall be residents of this state.\n\nD. The Board shall attempt to accomplish a continuing balance\n\nof representation among the primary areas of expertise of the\n\nprofessional discipline of dietetics in making the three\n\nappointments to the Committee. These areas of expertise are:\n\nclinical, educational, management, consultation, and community. On\n\nand after November 1, 1988, a licensee eligible for appointment as a\n\nCommittee member shall have been a licensed dietitian for a least\n\nthree (3) years prior to appointment to the Committee.\n\nE. Appointments to the Committee shall be made without\n\ndiscrimination based on race, creed, sex, religion, national origin,\n\nor geographical distribution of the appointees.\n\nF. A member or employee of the Committee may not be an officer,\n\nemployee, or paid consultant of a trade association in the field of\n\nhealth care.\n\nG. A person who is required to register as a lobbyist pursuant\n\nto the laws of this state in a health-related area shall not serve\n\nas a member of the Committee.\n\nH. A majority of the members of the Committee constitutes a\n\nquorum.\n\nI.
