Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1800.3","heading":"Exemptions","body":"The Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Act shall not\n\napply to:\n\n1. An officer or employee of this state, the United States or a\n\npolitical subdivision of either, while the employee or officer is\n\nengaged in the performance of official duties;\n\n2. An individual who owns and installs alarm devices,\n\nmechanical or electronic security devices and locks on the\n\nindividual's own property or, if the individual does not charge for\n\nthe device or its installation, installs it for the protection of\n\nthe individual's personal property located on another's property,\n\nand does not install the alarm devices, mechanical or electronic\n\nsecurity devices and locks as a normal business practice on the\n\nproperty of another;\n\n3. The sale of alarm or lock systems designed or intended for\n\ncustomer or user installation;\n\n4. The sale, installation, service, or repair of alarm systems\n\nor electronic security devices such as electronic access control,\n\nclosed circuit television, video surveillance, nurse call systems\n\nand the like by individuals licensed pursuant to the Electrical\n\nLicense Act;\n\n5. The locksmith industry activities of tow truck operators\n\nfrom their towing vehicles or repossession agents within the\n\nexecution of their duties;\n\n6. Locksmith industry activities of persons primarily engaged\n\nin selling lumber and other building materials who hold a sales tax\n\npermit as a Group One vendor authorized to engage in business within\n\nthis state pursuant to Sections 1363 and 1364 of the Oklahoma Sales\n\nTax Code;\n\n7. The solicitation of a potential alarm system customer by a\n\nperson via telephone or electronic device on behalf of an Oklahoma\n\nlicensed alarm company for the sale of an alarm system; or\n\n8.
